Pillars : Digital empowerment of individuals in local communities
Digital community development projects are implementing a number of cooperation protocols in the Egyptian governorates within the framework of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology's strategy to participate in implementing the state's plan to build the Egyptian person and in response to interaction with current developments and Egypt's Vision 2030 towards digital transformation, the Central Administration for Digital Community Development at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, through development projects using information and communications technology, cooperates with various institutions to build the capacities and skills of Egyptian youth in various fields aimed at achieving digital community development within that framework.
In line with the important societal role of the Egyptian governorates in supporting all activities, and the long-term vision to develop the performance of the governorates using modern technology tools and applications in various activities and service fields, especially the field of digital transformation, and within the trend towards developing work systems, providing services, increasing their efficiency and developing performance within the framework of plans for continuous development of local communities, and building the technical and administrative capabilities they possess, as the axes of the activities of digital community development projects in the governorates vary according to a study of the needs of citizens in each governorate, and it is agreed to implement them through joint cooperation protocols between the project and the various governorates to activate the common vision of the two parties towards achieving sustainable digital community development for individuals and communities

Shams Aswan website
Five years after the launch of the Shams Aswan website, as part of the cooperation activities between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Aswan Governorate;
The website has succeeded in achieving more than 2 million visitors, which reflects the importance of digital community development efforts in Aswan Governorate, which have been carried out over years of cooperation between the two parties.
The Central Administration for Digital Community Development, through the community knowledge portals Kanana Online, began cooperating with Aswan Governorate to create and launch the website in 2019 at the electronic address
www.aswansun.gov.eg Based on the strategy of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology for digital transformation and achieving sustainable development, so that the website would be one of the reliable sources of knowledge and news for the community in Aswan, where during this period the capabilities of those working in the Information and Media Center in the governorate were invested as one of the work axes of the signed and extended memorandum of understanding between the ministry and the governorate, by providing training in knowledge management and technical, technical and cognitive support to build specialized cadres to manage and develop the website and achieve development goals in the local community in Aswan.
The website currently includes, after five years of its launch, a number of sections, the most important of which are: daily news of the governorate’s activities, reports and investigations that highlight the governorate’s tourism, cultural, heritage and investment assets, in addition to the Aswan TV sections to display illustrated events, and Aswan in the Eyes of the Press, which displays the governorate’s most important activities in daily and weekly newspapers, in addition to linking the website to the most important African news websites to achieve communication with our African brothers. A section on the website has also been allocated under the name (Citizen’s Window) to communicate with the government complaints system and interact with public demands in the most complete manner.
