Digital Women Empowering

Since launching the activities of community development projects at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, woman, as one pillar of development that won't be achieved except by ensuring her active participation in all aspects of learning and work, have had the most prominent and important share in achieving the goals of the economic and social development in society.
Due to the fact that information and communication technology is a strong tool in the hands of women to contribute in achieving economic and social progress, and is providing them The ability of making an effective decisions in life, The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has sought, through a clear strategy, to make applications and Technological tools related to development areas available , as well as embowering women and girls in society through continuous learning and training programs , in a way that meets their needs and helps them raise their skills , too . 
Therefore, and in accordance with the United Nations developmental goals that emphasis  the importance of empowering women at all levels, especially education and technological support fields, the Central Administration for Digital Community Development seeks, Through its multiple projects, to provide technology tools, as well as reaching women to raise their awareness of the importance of using information and communications technology and Internet in all aspects of life, through developing  personal abilities and skills, leading to the creation of new job opportunities that provide a better life . 
The Central Administration for Digital Community Development, through its developmental initiatives and projects, emphasizes that integrating and empowering women technologically should be an essential part of implementing these activities which started in 2002 through the project of mobile Information Technology Clubs, making  information and communications technology available for individuals, especially women in local and rural communities  , as well as enhancing access to the Internet to benefit as much as possible from a range of free technological services that include  raising awareness of the importance of information technology and facilitating connection to the Internet to obtain knowledge, whether in the field of health, learning, or family building. 

In this context, two mobile units for information technology clubs have been equipped to provide health awareness and specialized technological training programs for citizens, especially women in remote and most needy areas. 
In a subsequent stage, Integrated technological development projects focused on empowering women in remote areas of Siwa and Nubia,  supporting integrated development activities , eliminating digital illiteracy using Tabluters, and using training programs and technological tools to encourage and support small and micro heritage projects women operate in remote communities, such as Rug, wicker, embroidery, oil and date production, and others. 
Finally, digital community development projects, subsequently developed through the Ministry’s launch of the (Qudwa.Tech) initiative in 2019 to empower women economically and socially, have adopted encouraging women to use websites and social network sites for marketing their handicraft products in local communities. 
It is worth noting that Qudwa.Tech initiative has aimed to contribute to the social and economic empowerment of Egyptian women and to promote their digital inclusion using information and communications technology, allowing the investment in creative energies , and providing an environment conducive to more innovation and leadership, through technological training programs that aim to build capacities , keep pace with digital needs and changes, achieve digital inclusion for women and girls , and encourage them to make the most of ICT tools and solutions to become role models for the rest of society.
