Qudwa.Tech Begins its Sustainable Development Advisory Sessions on Safe Handling of Gemstones

Project : Qodwa .Tech

As part of its commitment to further enhancing the capabilities of women artisans and linking them to development issues with economic, health, and environmental dimensions, the Qudwa.Tech Women Empowerment Initiative held its first sustainable development advisory session, titled "Safe Handling of Gemstones."
The session was presented by geologist Mahmoud Abdel Moneim, Chairman of the Gondwana Foundation for Environmental Development. He discussed how artisans can safely handle gemstones used in handicrafts, more consciously, to avoid the harmful radiation resulting from their cutting, and the environmental precautions required when handling stones and radioactive isotopes.
Through these sessions, Qudwa.Tech seeks to achieve a balance between the health and environmental needs of women artisans and entrepreneurs, and their ability to achieve further economic growth for their projects and increase their productivity and innovation skills. The initiative, affiliated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, also aims to support female artisans across the country by offering a series of advisory and development-oriented sessions, as well as specialized training courses to build their digital skills in the fields of digital marketing, e-commerce, and the use of artificial intelligence to produce digital visual content. This will enhance their ability to address the demands of digital transformation in society, leading to greater profits for their projects and a higher standard of living.
