
The Digital Citizenship Initiative holds two workshops for children in cooperation with the Aswan Education Directorate

The Digital Citizenship and Online Protection Initiative of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in cooperation with the Aswan Education Directorate, held two workshops to raise children's awareness of the dangers of the Internet and social media, as part of implementing the initiative's activities in the governorate as one of the axes of the cooperation protocol between the ministry and the governorate for digital community development.
The activities of the workshops, which were organized in cooperation with computer guidance teachers in Aswan Governorate, targeted 65 children and adolescents from the ages of 9 to 13 years old, including primary school students and experimental secondary school students.
During the workshops, the activities and objectives of the Digital Citizenship Initiative were explained, and how these objectives can be used to guide teachers to protect children, especially with the increasing reliance on technology and digital systems in work, learning and training, with a detailed explanation of the dangers of the Internet such as cyberbullying, luring, blackmail, and others, in addition to clarifying the means of support and reporting to enhance protection procedures from digital threats.
These activities are organized within the framework of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s cooperation with Aswan Governorate to support comprehensive development efforts and community empowerment of citizens using ICT tools.
