Digital Citizenship holds several awareness seminars on online protection in Assiut

As part of the activities of the Memorandum of Understanding signed with Assiut Governorate, the Digital Citizenship and Online Protection Initiative is organizing a series of awareness seminars on internet risks and digital citizenship concepts, in cooperation with UNICEF and Assiut Governorate.
The awareness seminars, which were held at the Assiut Branch of the Egypt Public Library, included a detailed explanation of support mechanisms, methods of protection from internet risks, means of support and reporting, and ways to access them.
These seminars are organized as part of activities to raise awareness of digital citizenship skills and the culture of safe internet use, one of the pillars of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Assiut Governorate. The aim is to build digital capabilities and empower citizens in the governorate, as part of efforts to support positive digital culture practices and educate all segments of society about digital risks. The Digital Citizenship Initiative, affiliated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, also holds these activities in various governorates, based on its role in line with Egypt's Digital Strategy, to prepare society for the digital transformation process. The initiative promotes and builds digital awareness among Egyptian citizens, enabling them to work and innovate in safe, legal, and ethical ways, aware of their rights, responsibilities, and opportunities for living, learning, and working in the digital world. The initiative also focuses specifically on empowering children and youth to navigate the digital space safely, while providing them with the necessary skills to protect themselves from electronic dangers. It also helps them fully understand the repercussions and consequences of their online behavior, by offering specialized training programs and awareness seminars in cooperation with partner entities
