
The Power of Co-Creation at the Education for Employment Foundation's Annual Iftar
Project : National Network for Services for Persons with Disabilities
The Education for Employment Foundation’s (EFE) Annual Iftar table "The Power of Co-Creativity" was the theme of the panel discussion in which Eng. Hoda Dahrouj, Advisor to the Minister for Digital Community Development and Director of the Digital Transformation for Sustainable Development Project in Egypt, participated during the annual Iftar organized by EFE, for its influential partners, which included a large number of success partners from donors, business owners and various institutions.
The dialogue session shed light on how partnerships between different sectors contribute to a sustainable impact on empowering youth from the labor market, which was emphasized by the Minister's Advisor during her speech on MCIT strategy in building human and achieving the digital society by developing the digital skills of individuals, especially youth, to qualify them for the labor market by launching and participating in the implementation of programs and initiatives targeting different age and educational groups as well as varying skill levels, while at the same time working on promote digital innovation and support startups and entrepreneurs.
In this context, the Minister's Advisor pointed out the importance of including all groups and members of society in these initiatives, and building their capacities according to the skills required by the labor market and employment, especially persons with disabilities to integrate them appropriately into the labor market, as the role of the National Network for Services for Persons with Disabilities, whose
activities are implemented in partnership between the Ministry of Communications and Informations Technology, the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Ministry of Labor, to facilitate communication between companies, employers and training service providers on the one hand, and between persons with disabilities on the other hand, linking them to the available training and employment opportunities according to the residential area, type of disability and level of academic qualification, to facilitate access to these trainings and jobs, and it also contributes effectively to finding opportunities for practical training that suit the needs and abilities of persons with disabilities, in addition to helping them deal with technological solutions and applications to facilitate their daily lives.
The participation in the dialogue session also comes in light of the cooperation agreement between the Education for Employment Foundation and the Ministry of Social Solidarity, with the aim of activating the network's electronic platform, to spread its services as one of the community initiatives that seek to support persons with disabilities and build their digital capabilities to qualify them for the labor market.
This is the fourth meeting annual Iftar organized by EFE, bringing together key stakeholders in youth empowerment, including un NGOs, private sector leaders, educational institutions, government agencies, ministries, and unions to discuss new ideas for services and programs provided by employers to youth, and share experiences on best practices to connect young graduates to the Egyptian labor market.
