Naglaa Seddeek

Qodwa-Tech Initiative Director

Expert in Women's Empowerment, Environmental Communication, and Community Development, Naglaa Seddeek has over 20 years of experience in environmental communication, community development, and digital transformation. She has led strategic initiatives that have had a wide-reaching impact on women's empowerment, environmental education, and digital media. Currently, she serves as the Director of the “Qodwa-Tech” Initiative under Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, where she spearheads efforts to empower women through digital transformation, establish sustainable partnerships with national and international entities, and expand the initiative’s reach to thousands of beneficiaries through awareness and advanced training programs.
She began her career in environmental media, holding leadership positions such as Environmental Communication Consultant for the Danish International Development Assistance (DANIDA) program in Egypt. She also oversaw the development of a community awareness strategy for children by creating the character "Bezra" and producing its entire media portfolio. Her work has earned her several prestigious awards, including the Suzan Mubarak Award for Children's Literature (1999) and the Knight of the Environment Award (2006).
Under her leadership, Qodwa-Tech has achieved significant milestones, facilitating the integration of many women into the digital economy. The initiative has received international recognition, being ranked among the top five projects at WSIS 2020 and honored by the ITU’s Equals in Tech Awards in 2021. In 2022, it was a finalist for the Government Excellence Award, and in 2024, it won the prestigious AGFUND International Prize in recognition of its role in advancing digital transformation for women.
Naglaa holds dual university degrees in Mass Media and Philosophy, along with professional certifications in Project Management, Digital Marketing, and Digital Content Production. She is an active member of the Egyptian Writers’ Union and the E-Commerce Club, and she has authored over 12 educational books for children, in addition to producing nearly 15 documentary films on digital transformation and community development.
