Advisor to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Digital Community Development and Director of the Digital Transformation for Sustainable Development Project in Egypt
A multi-faceted career began in 1986, when Engineer Hoda Dahroug obtained her Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Her career path included work in the fields of electronics, communications, and information technology applications.
She then began her career with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) as Deputy Regional Director for Community Development Projects (through the Egyptian ICT Fund, affiliated with the Ministry and the United Nations Development Programme) since July 2007.
In 2012, Engineer Hoda Dahroug assumed the position of Regional Director of the Egyptian ICT Fund (later the Digital Transformation for Sustainable Development Project in Egypt).
After the establishment of the Central Administration for Digital Community Development, Dahroug assumed its leadership, based on the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the state's plan to enhance sustainable development and digital transformation efforts. Dahroug contributed to developing a clear strategic vision for the Central Administration for Digital Community Development, which aims to develop models for community development programs and initiatives using information and communications technology (ICT), keeping pace with the digital transformation system, and working to build best practices in this field in partnership with all parties across all sectors, contributing to comprehensive and sustainable community development.
