Walaa Salem is an experienced project manager and IT professional with a strong background in digital transformation and community based digital solutions. Holding an MBA from ESLSCA Business School with an emphasis in Government Business Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, she has demonstrated a commitment to leveraging technology for societal impact.
Her key achievements include managing the National Network for PWD services, aimed at improving employment rates and enhancing skills for people with disabilities, which, as a result of team commitment and innovative ideas was announced as a champion project for WSIS Prizes 2022.
With a career spanning various roles in government, NGOs, and the private sector, she has consistently contributed to developing and managing variety of projects in Egypt. Furthermore, she also participated in the EU's Medforist Project, promoting e-business concepts in the Mediterranean region, and contributed her expertise as a volunteer with the Association of African Entrepreneurs (legally registered in Ghana). She has a proven track record of effective stakeholder engagement, technical guidance, training, and delivering impactful solutions.
